Oliver is a dedicated tennis player, and has been part of the National Learning Disability Squad run by the Lawn Tennis Association, since 2018. He has represented Team GB three times, including at the 2015 Special Olympic Games in USA, 2019 Global Games in Australia, and the 2023 Virtus Global Games in France.
He is currently ranked British Number 3 and World Number 5 in the learning disability men’s singles category.
He hopes that the Inspirational Award will give him the opportunity to become fitter and stronger, allowing him to play on European clay courts more effectively, make use of the services of a sports psychologist which will improve his mental stamina, and to purchase a new racket, shoes and bag in anticipation of the next international tournament.
