National Space Centre, Leicester

3rd June 2026

Ellis and his family recently visited the National Space Centre, Leicester

Mum, Heather, wrote “Thank you so much for organising our trip to the Space Centre in Leicester. We had a wonderful time.
Ellis thought staying in a hotel was a very exciting adventure in itself!  We enjoyed the pre-booked planetarium experience, where we learned about the constellations and stars. There was so much to see and do, and the exhibits were incredibly interactive.  We also enjoyed a space simulation ride and pressing lots of buttons as you can see in the photos!
Ellis was thrilled to be chosen during one talk to help demonstrate how far the Earth is from the Sun! The staff were brilliant and talks included chemical reactions of dry ice and setting stuff on fire!  We saw lots of rockets, created a mock news report, and learned more about the International Space Station and what life is like for astronauts living and working in space.
The time flew by because there was so much to see and do!
It was a fantastic experience, and we are very grateful for the opportunity.”

Be Inspired.
