Scholarship news – Lewis

6th September 2018

It was lovely to see Lewis and his family at this year’s “Rock up for Randall.”

Lewis has had a busy summer.   July’s race was cancelled on the night as the rain, thunder and lightning just wouldn’t let up so of course for safety they had to reschedule for a double race in October.  His mum tells us this race “will be hard work racing for nearly 2 hours, so that will be an interesting one, as not sure if it will be two single races or one long race.”

During August, his family watched “the most exciting race we have seen Lewis in, up with the top drivers which has ruffled a few feathers!  Just no stopping Lewis with fantastic overtaking and in qualifying he made it to 3rd place on a dry track.  The final race was extremely nail biting but with 15 minutes to the end of the race Lewis was hit from the back and spun out!  Again Lewis didn’t let it bother him, and back on track he went in 6th place and then the heavens opened and it was a very very wet track.  Again Lewis drove amazingly well and achieved a very respectful 4th place which is his personal best.  Lewis came off absolutely delighted and now believes himself that he could get a podium finish”

We can’t wait for the next installment! Go well Lewis.

Be Inspired.
