Scholarships and Inspirational Awards update
This year’s Scholar, Marcus, travelled with the GB Team to Sun City in South Africa back in May to participate in the IPF World Championships. He was competing in the Men Classic 120kg+ Juniors Bench Only (19-23 years ) category.
The DRF are delighted to share the news that Marcus achieved a silver medal for his outstanding performance, and are proud to have supported him on his journey.
Dancer, Edeigh, has recently attended the Elite Dance Championships with her team (Complete Dance Studios) to end the season. In a way, it was a warm-up for the Dance World Cup in July. The Studio came away as overall champions and one of the routines she was in, placed first along with highest overall score for their age group.
Sending our best wishes to Edeigh and the Team as they fly out to Braga in Portugal for The Dance World Cup.
Finally, Ice -Skater Danny attended the Oxford Open recently, the final competition of the skating calendar year. He achieved third place and scored a new personal best. Mum, Lynsey, shared the news that he has been working hard with his two coaches to improve his technical ability with double jumps, and the scoresheet recognised his endeavours which was a proud moment for her.
Danny is now concentrating on developing the next level of skills for when the new season starts in July, so he can compete at a higher level.
