The DRF are delighted to hear that the Caprice Wind Orchestra is planning for post lockdown, and has penciled in Saturday 16th October 2021 as their first post-pandemic concert in Chelmsford Cathedral and, as part of the concert, one of our previous scholars, violinist Elodie, is going to take part.
For those who haven’t experienced a Caprice concert before, they comprise of an eighty-strong orchestra playing a wide-ranging repertoire of classics, themes from stage and screen and arrangements of popular music. It has a loyal following of concert goers and a reputation for providing accessible, quality concerts which are enjoyed by players and audiences alike. Caprice gives four to five concerts a year, raising money for local and national charities, and we are grateful for their continued support.
Chelmsford Cathedral is a fantastic place and lends itself well to the acoustics making for an enjoyable evening.
