What We Do

When David was diagnosed as being terminally ill, his family and friends did their best to ensure that he always had something to look forward to.  There were obviously good days and bad days but the ‘Good Days’, when he was well enough to go out with family and friends, provided him and those close to him with something positive to focus on and with cherished memories.

DRF aims to help others with life limiting conditions to experience as many Good Days as possible.  Organising and financing days out at an emotional and stressful time can be difficult, so the charity provides both financial and logistical support to help facilitate this.

Applicants are allocated a DRF volunteer ambassador, who works in coordination with the applicant and the DRF trustees to organise their series of outings.  If you have any questions about DRF Good Days or would like to apply, please feel free to contact us or apply here.

Our Objectives:

  • To support people with life limiting illnesses to enjoy life to the full for as long as possible, by helping to provide Good Days for them and their families.
  • To provide Scholarships and Inspirational Awards to people who demonstrate exceptional dedication and passion in pursuing their ambitions in sport or music but may be held back by their financial situation.

The David Randall Foundation, which is entirely run by volunteers, celebrates its eleventh birthday on March 7th 2024.  So far we have given Good Days to over two hundred and fifty people and awarded over 20 major scholarships and inspirational awards
